Matthew J. Behr

Matthew James Behr, age 29, of Maria Stein, died unexpectantly Saturday, March 28, 2020 at Mercer Health Hospital in Coldwater. He was born September 15, 1990 in St. Marys, Ohio to James A. & Lisa M. (Nieberding) Behr who survive in Maria Stein. He is survived by a brother Daniel Behr and Alli Adams in Phoenix, Arizona; grandmother Mary Nieberding; and godmother Kate Hartwig. He is preceded in death by grandfathers Bob Nieberding and Clete Behr; grandmother Ruth Behr; and godfather Mark Behr. He was a 2009 graduate of Marion Local High School and a 2013 graduate at Wright State University in Dayton and he worked as an accountant at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. Matt loved to follow all sports, especially bowling, Wright State Raiders basketball, the New England Patriots, and the Michigan Wolverines. Matt was also a Boys State Delegate. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on June 6, 2020 at St. John Catholic Church. Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater is handling the arrangements.
