Jane Wilkins, age 76, of 208 Bachar Rd. in Celina, Ohio, passed away at 2:15 p.m. on Monday June 2, 2014 at the St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima, Ohio. She was born on April 7, 1938 in Celina to the late Franklin "Buzz" & Rita (Fischer) Wise. She was married to Ned Wilkins (deceased 1999) and is survived by their daughter Peggy Wilkins and her partner Dean Armstrong of Chicago, IL. She is also survived by sister & brothers-in-law Elizabeth "Becky" & Robert "Doc" Wimmers of Carol Stream, IL, Robert "Chico" Weber of Celina, Brenda Wise of Texas, brothers & sisters-in-law James & Annie Wise of Akron, Barbara Wise of Troy and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brothers Franklin "Skip" Wise, Mike Wise, sisters & brother-in-law Barbara "Bobbie" Weber and Judith & Sam Dixon. Jane graduated from Immaculate Conception High School with the Class of 1956. She had a lifelong passion for aviation and earned her pilot's license in 1956 at the age of 17, even before she had a driver's license.

She was formerly employed by Marathon Oil in Findlay, Ohio and became a parts manager for Kal-Aero in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She retired in 2000 from Duncan Aviation in Battle Creek, Michigan. She was a member of the Silver Wings. Jane loved cats and enjoyed fishing and camping. A memorial service will be held at 10:30a.m. on Saturday June 14, 2014 at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina, with Fr. Kenneth G. Alt officiating. Burial will follow in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in Celina. Friends may call 1 hour before services at the funeral Home.
