Mary Gertrude Tekamp, age 97, of Coldwater, died on Friday, December 6, 2013 at Briarwood Village, Coldwater. She was born December 9, 1915 in Versailles, to the late Daniel W. & Edith (McGreevey) Kissinger. She married La Mar (Bud) Tekamp on June 21, 1941 and he died July 17, 1995. She is survived by five children, Janet (Mel) Steinbrunner, Carol (Eugene) Borger, Gary Tekamp, Wayne (Marlene) Tekamp and Daniel 'Skip' (Elaine) Tekamp all of Coldwater, 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, Alma Kissinger of Versailles and Vivian Koesters of St. Marys. She was preceded in death by siblings and in-laws Claudine (Ralph) Barga and Owen Kissinger, Albert Koesters, Ray (Betty) Tekamp and Myra (Omer) Newcom. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, the St. Ann's Rosary Altar Sodality of the church, Coldwater Eagles and American Legion Auxiliaries. She worked at the former Buckeye Overall in Coldwater. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater. Friends may call on Monday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
