Mary E. Tebbe

January 30, 1917 — July 31, 2015

Mary E. Tebbe, age 98, formerly of Anna, died on Friday, July 31, 2015 at Elmwood of New Bremen. She was born January 30, 1917 to the late Louis & Frances (Fleckenstein) Sherman. On September 11, 1940, she married Vernon Tebbe, who died November 1, 1960. She is survived by three children, Virginia & Larry Hoehne of Ft. Loramie, Pat & Marilyn Tebbe of McCartyville, and Richard & Colleen Tebbe of McCartyville, eight grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, a sister, Ruth Strayer of Sidney and a sister-in-law, Mary Jane Sherman of Sidney. She was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Bertha Zink, Rita Couchot, Hugh Sherman and an infant sister, Louise Sherman. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, McCartyville and its Ladies Sodality. Mary's family would like to thank Dr. Michael Ballas, Elmwood Assisted Living and Hospice for their care. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, McCartyville with Fr. John Tonkin, officiating. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. A rosary will be prayed prior to mass at 10:00 AM at the church. Condolences may be left at hogenkampfh.com.
