Mary Jean Schmit

Mary Jean Schmit, age 81, of Coldwater, died on Friday, November 22, 2019 at Celina Manor. She was born September 11, 1938 in Coldwater to the late Gebhard E. & Frances (Nussman) Schmit. She is survived by sisters, Lillian Perkins and Frances Ann Schmit both of Coldwater, a sister-in-law Rosemary Schmit of Michigan and many loving nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by siblings and in-laws, Lavern & Charline Schmit, Donald & Agnes Schmit, Ralph Schmit, Richard Schmit and Richard Perkins. Mary Jean worked at the former New Idea Plant in Coldwater and First National Bank. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, November 25, 2019 at Holy Trinity Church in Coldwater. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
