Mary Evelyn Salm, age 94, of 502 Wildwood Dr., Coldwater, Ohio, died on Saturday, February 26, 2011. She was born August 19, 1916 in Coldwater, Ohio to Edward & Frances (Schmitt) Wendel. On October 14, 1937 she married John Salm, and he died December 08, 1969. She is survived by a son, Larry & Doris Salm of Coldwater, Ohio, a daughter, Susan & William Alford of Covington, Louisiana, ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, a sister, Virginia Kraft of Coldwater, Ohio, a sister-in-law Juanita Salm of Sidney, Ohio and good friend, Sue Fogt of Sidney, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her husband and parents, a daughter, Barbara Post, and two sisters, Dorothy Walls-Bishop and Helen Behm. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and its Ladies Altar Sodality, the Sidney Senior Citizens, and a former member of Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sidney, Ohio and its Ladies Altar Sodality. She volunteered at Wilson Memorial Hospital for 29 years and worked for Slagle Plumbing and Heating for 16 years. She was a graduate of Coldwater High School class of 1935 and the International Business College in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM on Wednesday, March 02, 2011 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, Ohio.
