Mary M. Kohn, age 79, of 100 E. College St, Coldwater, Ohio, died on Sunday, July 08, 2012 at Briarwood Village, Coldwater, Ohio. She was born September 14, 1932 in Philothea to the late August and Margaret (Puthoff) Wenning. On October 20, 1951 she married Carl H. Kohn and he died May 04, 2009. Mary is survived by four children Kathy & John Spoltman of Chickasaw, Ron & Carol Kohn of Celina, Gerry & Connie Kohn of Philothea and Kris & Jeff Boise of Coldwater, nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, three sisters Joan Kemper of St. Henry, Bernie Meiring of Celina, and Margie & Jack Moeller of St. Louis, MO and a sister in law Donna Spencer of Celina. She is preceded in death by a grandson and a sister and 3 brothers-in-law, Rita & Paul Bruns, David Kemper and Harold Meiring. She was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church, Philothea, Ohio, ladies rosary altar sodality of the church, Coldwater Eagles auxiliary and Coldwater American Legion auxiliary and a lifetime member of Coldwater V.F.W. Auxiliary. Mary formerly worked at the former Gibbons and Otis Hospitals in Celina, Briarwood Manor, Coldwater and St. Charles Infirmary. Mary was the founder of the former Kohn's Home for the Elderly. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at St. Marys Catholic Church, Philothea, OH. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Philothea Ohio. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home-Coldwater on Tuesday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
