Mary P. " Pat" Coan, age 82, of Celina, Ohio passed away at 5:00a.m. on Monday Sept. 22, 2014 at the St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima. She was born on Dec. 31, 1931 in Denison, Iowa to the late Roger M. & Edna Mae (Flahive) McGrath. On Oct. 7, 1953 she married William J. Coan, who died in 2003. Survivors include her children James Coan of Savage, MN, Kevin & Sandy Coan of Omaha, NE, Dennis & Diane Coan, of Jordan, MN, Jean & Chris Boise of Wilmington, Ohio, Deb & Dave Blake of Celina, 10 Grandchildren Mike Coan, Jon Coan, Carie Costanzo, Sarah Rice, Tom Coan, Caitie Coan, Tyler Boise, Jennifer Kuntz, Andy Blake, Kyle Blake, 10 Great Grandchildren and her sister-in-law Judy McGrath of Virginia. She was preceded in death by her brother Michael McGrath. Mary graduated from Denison High School in 1949 and received her degree in Nursing from Creighton Nursing School in Omaha, NE. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina. She loved her crafts, sewing, traveling, watching a good football game and spending time with her family. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30a.m. on Friday September 26, 2014 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, with Fr. Kenneth Schnipke officiating. Burial will follow in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in Celina. Friends may call from 6-8p.m. on Thursday and from 9-10a.m on Friday at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina.
