Mary Ann Seger age 85 of 255 N. Garfield St. Minster Died at 3:30 AM Wednesday February 8, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born May 16, 1926 in Shelby County to John and Mary C. (Meyer) Dircksen they preceeded her in death. On June 4, 1947 she married Jerome B. Seger he died June 17, 1991. She is survived by her children Teresa and Jim Hamaker of Sidney; Doris Bilter of Oswega, IL; Connie and Bill Grillot of Versailles; Bonnie and Steve Brunson of McCartyville; Ted and Lois Seger of Minster; Phyllis and Steve Collins of Minster; Laurie Seger of Minster and Tina and Ted Riethman of Minster. A son Vernon J. Seger Died Oct. 24, 1969 also a son in-law Bruce Bilter is deceased. Grandchildren include Kendra, Jill, Erin and Kristen Hamaker; Margo, Brad, Adam, Ben and Mindy Bilter; Renee Barga, Sarah Jacobs, Ed, Jason, Carl, Alan, Colleen, Mary and Christopher Grillot; Stephanie Jordan, Tara Dohner, Travis and Mark Brunson; Jennifer Hayden, Angie Muhlenkamp, Craig and Stacey Seger; Derek and Jenna Collins and Nathan, Josh and Kyle Riethman. 32 Great Grandchildren and 3 Step Great Grandchildren. Four brothers preceeded her in death Henry, Albert, Herman and John Dircksen, a sister-in-law Anna Marie Dircksen survives in Minster. Two of Mary Ann's in-laws from the Seger family survive, Bertha Seger of Yorkshire and Richard Middendorf of Ft. Loramie. Mary Ann was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Minster, a Gold Star Mother, a member of The F O E 1391 Aux. of Minster, she enjoyed quilting, crocheting and was an avid bowler until the age of 82. She was employed at Heritage Manor Nursing Center untill 1978 and then volunteered there untill 2011. She was named "Volunteer of the Year " in 2010. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday February 11, 2012 at St. Augustine Church, Rev. Rick Nieberding Presider. Burial will follow at St. Augustine Cemetery, friends may call from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday and 9:00 AM until 9:30 AM Saturday at Hogenakmp Funeral Home in Minster.
