Mary Ann DeLoye age 94 of Houston, Ohio died at 2:02 AM on April 13, 2026, at The Landings in Sidney. She was born on June 13, 1931, in Darke County to the late Andrew & Elizabeth (Rethman) Heckman. On June 13, 1951, she married Raymond H. DeLoye in St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Osgood, Ohio. He preceded her in death on December 5, 2021. She is survived by children: Susan Ayearst, Monticello, KY, Allan & Nancy DeLoye, Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Ron & Pam DeLoye, Russia, Ohio, Tim DeLoye, Sidney, Ohio, Laura DeLoye and friend Pavlo Rudakevych, San Luis Obispo, CA, grandchildren: Matt & Kim Koverman, Ben & Katy Koverman, Kevin DeLoye, Aaron & Jarica DeLoye, Kaitlin & Adam York, Nicole & Ryan Coon and Andrew DeLoye, 21 great grandchildren, sisters & brother Ruth Simon, Piqua, Jeanette Eilerman, Sidney, Richard & Esther Heckman, Frenchtown, Delores Homan, Coldwater. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond DeLoye, an infant child, brother Paul Heckman in-laws: Irene Heckman, Bernard Simon, Albin Eilerman, Gerald Homan, Paul DeLoye, Robert DeLoye & Rosalie DeLoye Amelia & Norbert Heckman, son-in-law Ray Ayearst, and great grandchild Parker. Mary Ann was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Newport, Ohio and the Lady’s Sodality of the Church. Mry Ann and her husband Raymond were involved in many Knights of Columbus activities over the many years, for both the Knights of Columbus Council Russia, Ohio and the Assembly of Minster, Ohio. Mary Ann was a volunteer and chair on the Canteen Ladies Committee of the K of C Blood Bank, and was very active in many church activities including, but not limited to sacristan, trainer of mass servers, New Parish Member Welcoming Committee, Vocation Committee, Turkey Fest Committee, Funeral Lunch Server Committee, Greeter, and taught CCD for 27 years. After Mary Ann retired from Just For Kids Daycare Center, she continued her many church and K of C activities and also baking, gardening and dancing. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Newport. Burial will take place in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Russia from 4-7 PM on Thursday, April 16, 2026 and from 9 to 10 AM on Friday, April 17. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and Catholic Social Services. Condolences may be left at www.hogenkampfh.com.
