Marvin E. Unrast

Marvin E. Unrast, age 74, of North Star, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at his home. He was born June 24, 1943 in North Star, to the late Aloys & Marie (Otte) Unrast.  He is survived by siblings: Leroy & Susan Unrast of Willcox, AZ, Velma & Jerome Holdheide of Fort Loramie, Marg Wagner of Celina, Bertha & Joseph Rosenbeck of New Bremen, Henry & Anita (Brown) Unrast of North Star, and 15 nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by two brothers: Virgil and Dennis Unrast, and a brother in law Robert Wagner.  Marvin was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, North Star.  He was a lifelong farmer, a former milk hauler, and an avid Cincinnati Red’s fan.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, April 23, 2018 at St. Louis Catholic Church, North Star. Burial will follow in St. Louis Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 to 5:00pm on Sunday, April 22, at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry and from 9:00 to 10:00 am on Monday at St. Louis Church, North Star.  Memorial contributions may be made to State of the Heart Care.
