Marita Joan Mattingly, age 79, of Menchhofer Rd., Coldwater, passed away Friday, August 30, 2013 at Celina Manor. She was born November 11, 1933 in Coldwater, to the late John & Marie (Buschur) Winhoven. On May 22, 1954 she married her husband of 59 years, William Simeon Mattingly originally of Loretto, Kentucky at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, of which she was a lifetime member. She was also a member of the St. Ann's Ladies Sodality. She is survived by her husband William Mattingly of Coldwater, a daughter, Mary Joan & Ray Belkofer of New Albany, three sons, James & Deborah Mattingly of Phillipsburg, Robert & Mary Mattingly of St. Henry and Richard & Melanie Mattingly of Findlay, ten grandchildren, Alex and Ross Belkofer, Eric Master, Bryan, Allison, Brent, Brianne, Brooke, Lydia and Lucas Mattingly, two sisters, Rosella Winhoven of Celina and Mary Ann & John Steinbrunner of Coldwater, a brother, Harold Winhoven of Coldwater, in-laws, David & Rita Mattingly, Bryan Jr. & Betty Mattingly, Mary Frances Conn, Emma Jean & Bob Miles, Mary B. Mattingly and Ann Sophia & Tom Barr, all of Louisville, Kentucky, and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Ralph, Virgil, Paul and Vernon Winhoven and a sister-in-law, Esther Winhoven. Marita was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who cared for the family as they grew throughout the years. She was employed at Coldwater Hospital for thirteen years. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home-Coldwater on Monday, September 2, 2013 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and on Tuesday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
