Marian C. Franzer age 95 of Maria Stein, Ohio died at 11:15 PM on Friday, October 29, 2021 at Briarwood Village, Coldwater. She was born on December 16, 1925 in Maria Stein to the late Lawrence & Mary (Eyink) Budde. She married Carl C. Franzer on October 25, 1947 in Maria Stein and he preceded her in death on February 6, 2006. Surviving are her children: Margie & Larry Wuebker, Versailles, Pat & Larry Benanzer, Versailles, Nick & Mary Franzer, Troy, John & Pat Franzer, Tipp City, Jean & Bill Garman, Maria Stein, Jim & Julie Franzer, Wilmington, Mark & Maureen Franzer, Ft. Myers, FL, 14 grandchildren & 17 great grandchildren, sister, Mildred Buehler, Springfield OR, stepsister, Mary Catherine Wolters, AZ, three sisters-in-law Norma Jean Budde, Celina, Norma Knapke Cranberry Prairie, Nell Franzer, Coldwater. She was preceded in death by a sister Wilma Monnier, three brothers, Harold, Elmer & infant Frederick Budde, Stepmother, Lauretta Eyink Budde and numerous sisters & brothers in-laws. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein, where she served as a CCD teacher for 19 years and a communion distributor at the church and for shut ins. She was also a member of the St. Anne Ladies Sodality, a charter member of the Maria Stein American Legion Auxiliary Unity 571, a member of the Adoration Guild at the Maria Stein Center, a former election poll worker and former volunteer at the Center for Neurological Development. She was a 1944 graduate of St. John High School, Maria Stein. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein. Burial will take place in St. John Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 9 to 10 AM on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The Center for Neurological Development and Everheart Hospice. Condolences may be left at www.hogenkampfh.com .
