Marcella (Sally) A. Koesters, age 84, of Chickasaw, Ohio, died Sunday, March 25, 2012 at her home. She was born February 16, 1928 in Philothea, Ohio to the late Ben and Mary (Fullenkamp) Brockman. On May 21, 1949 she married Harold Koesters and he died June 24, 1991. Sally is survived by four children Sharon & Steve Osterholt of Springfield, Gary & Jane Koesters of Coldwater, Deb & Bob Homan of St. Rose and Mary Ann Koesters of Chickasaw, a daughter-in-law Emily & Charlie Flannigan of Maria Stein, 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, a brother Melvin & Lois Brockman of Vandalia, three sisters-in-law Frances Brockman of Vandalia, Virginia & Bob Knapke of Minster and Shirley & Norb Tangeman of Chickasaw and a brother-in-law Luke Griesdorn of Osgood. She is preceded in death by a son Michael, siblings Laurine & Ray Hart, Arnold Brockman, Mary Ann & Joe Beumer, Helen & Clarence Guggenbiller, Minnie Lou & Ollie Jackson and Betty & Dick Hirsch, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Francella & Joe Fiely, Kathryn Griesdorn and Frank Koesters. She was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church, Chickasaw, Ohio, Ladies Sodality of the church, St. Cecelia Auxilary #89 Knights of St. John, Coldwater, Ohio, Maria Stein Adoration Guild and the Legion of Mary. Sally retired from Marion Local Schools. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Precious Blood Catholic Church with Fr. Tom Brenberger, officiating. Burial will follow in Precious Blood Cemetery, Chickasaw Ohio. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home-Coldwater on Tuesday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
