Mahan J. "Jerry" Harris, age 81, of 421 E. Fulton St. and Formerly of Weirton, West Virginia, passed away at 9:10a.m., on Friday Sept. 6, 2013, at The Gardens at Celina. Jerry was born on Nov. 26, 1931 in Weirton W.V. to the late Manch & Ruby (Sheppard) Harris. Survivors include his wife Nancy (Waugh) Harris of Celina, son Michael & Teresa Harris of Celina, daughter Jeri VanTrees of St. Mary, grandchildren Cassandra & Randy Bergman, Tesla VanTrees, Jacob VanTrees, Jayden VanTrees, M. Adrein & Michelle Harris, Areil Harris and Angelica Harris. He was preceded in death by his sister & brother-in-law Hazel & John Lipon. Jerry served his country in the United States Army in the Airborne Division. He retired in 1990 from the Weirton Steel Mill in Weirton West Virginia. Private family services will be held at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina. Condolences may be made at LHDfuneralhome.com.
