Luke R. Keller, age 85 of Burkettsville, died late Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at his home in Burkettsville. He was born on April 8, 1941, in Burkettsville, to the late Linus & Josephine (Knapke) Keller. On May 18, 1963, he married Jayne (Davis) Keller. Luke and Jayne were married for 63 years, and she survives at their home in Burkettsville.

Luke is survived by his children, Patricia Keller of Marysville, Daniel & Heide Keller of Burkettsville, and Timothy & Denise Keller of New Weston, as well as seven grandchildren: Aaron & Shelbie Keller, Nicole, and Brandon Keller, Konnor & Alli Keller, Abrianna, Lance, and Cooper Keller, and four great grandchildren: Ivy, Mason, Wesley, and Elise. Luke is also survived by a sister Waveline Selhorst, and in-laws Princess Keller, and Carol Fanning, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Luke is preceded in death by a son Ronald Keller, his siblings, Imogene & John Hart, Hubert “Bud” Keller, Joann & Ernest Barhorst, and Raymond & Kay Keller as well as in-laws, Herbert Selhorst, Robert Fanning, and Edward Davis, as well as his father and mother-in-law, Orville & Mariann Davis.

Luke was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Burkettsville and had proudly served his country for six years in the Army National Guard. He was a lifelong farmer and loved what he did, working alongside his father and later his own sons and grandsons. Luke received the DCRC Reproduction Award for their work on the farm. He enjoyed playing cards and having lunch with he and Jayne’s friends. Luke was a devoted Ohio State Football fan and enjoyed watching sports. He loved animals, especially the ones on the farm and his beloved pet dog. Luke was proud of his family and treasured time spent together with them.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, August 22, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Burkettsville. Following the funeral mass a committal service will take place in St. Bernard Cemetery. Friends and relation may call from 2:00-8:00 pm on Friday, August 21, or from 9:00-9:45am on Saturday, August 22, at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry.
