Luke C. Clune, age 86, of formerly of Chickasaw, Ohio, died on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Celina Manor, Celina, Ohio. He was born February 20, 1926 in Chickasaw, Ohio to the late Casper and Anna (Ashman) Clune. On July 24, 1965 he married Irene M. (Stammen) and she died June 23, 2001. Luke is survived by a daughter Barbara & Dan Lockwood of Celina, a grandson David & Emily Lockwood of Lancaster, a granddaughter Amanda Lockwood of Celina and a great granddaughter Natalie Lockwood. He is preceded in death by brothers, sisters and in-laws, Loretta Clune, Herbert & Martha Clune, Alphonse & Agnes Clune, Louis Clune, Carl & Bernadine Clune, Matilda Clune, Lucille & Urban Dwenger, Mary Agnes Puthoff-Nerderman, Albert Puthoff, Urban Nerderman, Esther & Henry Deitz and half sisters Eleanor & Joe Hein and Minnie & Bill Gerlach. He was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church, veteran of the US Army serving during WWII including the Battle of the Bulge, a member of the Chickasaw V.F.W. and Maria Stein American Legion and a former member of the Chickasw volunteer Fire Dept. He retired from Minster Machine. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM on Monday, June 25, 2012 at Precious Blood Catholic Church, Chickasaw, Ohio with Fr. Thomas Brenberger, officiating. Burial will follow in Precious Blood Cemetery, Chickasaw Ohio. Friends may call on Sunday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home-Coldwater.
