Lucille A. Westgerdes, age 95, of St. Henry, died on January 12, 2015 at Briarwood Village, Coldwater. She was born April 18, 1919 in Coldwater, to the late Harry & Philomena (Post) Luken. On October 21, 1939, she married Edward Westgerdes, Jr., and he died June 15, 1993. She is survived by three children, Dan & Phyllis Westgerdes of St. Henry, Carol & Duane Puthoff of Celina and Sharon & Ron McBride of Dayton, eight grandchildren, Kimberly Obringer, Kevin Westgerdes, Lisa Lange, Cherie Williams, Shelly Ross, Tim Puthoff, Stephanie Barton and Jennifer McBride, a step-grandson, Rick McBride, 19 great-grandchildren, 3 step-great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, a brother, Richard Luken of Coldwater, and in-laws, Rita Westgerdes of Coldwater and Sr. Elizabeth Westgerdes of Dayton. She is preceded in death by brothers, Donald Luken and Paul Luken and in-laws, Louise Luken, Robert & Norma Westgerdes, John & Ginny Westgerdes, Mary Ann & Bernie Sampson, Vincent Westgerdes and Ray Westgerdes. She was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church and its Altar Rosary Sodality, she worked at the St. Henry Schools Cafeteria for 10 years. Lucille was a graduate of Coldwater High School. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 am Thursday, January 15, 2015 at St. Henry Church. Burial will follow in St. Henry Cemetery. Friends may call from 3:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday and from 9:00 to 10:00 am on Thursday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
