Lowell E. Loughridge, age 87, of 1909 Knapke Ct. Celina, Ohio passed away Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Celina Manor Celina, Ohio. He was born on January 23, 1924 in Celina, Ohio to the late James L. & Ilo D. (Ford) Loughridge. On Oct. 17, 1945 he married Lucille C. Meier, who died on July 22, 2009. Survivors include his daughters & sons-in-law :Sharon & Edward Elliott of Dayton, Dianne & Gary Rolfes of Celina, Sondra & Larry Roth of Celina, Teresa & Gary Prill of Van Wert, 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, brother Richard & Lyn Loughridge of Celina, Step brother Charles & Betty Miller of Celina, sister-in-law Cleo Loughridge of Celina and several Nieces & Nephews. He was preceded in death by: his brothers James Loughridge, Jerry & Ruth Loughridge and his sister Maxine & Maurice "Woody" Woodruff. Lowell graduated from Celina High School with the class of 1942. He was a member at the St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Celina. He served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army in Europe as a member of the Infantry Division. He was a member of the St. Paul's United Methodist Pairs & Spares Sunday School, the Celina V.F.W. Post #5713 and the Celina American Legion Post #210. Lowell retired, as a foreman in 1987, from Goodyear Tire & Rubber in St. Marys, after 45 years of employment. Funeral services will be held at 10:30a.m. on Wednesday Nov. 2, 2011 at the St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Celina, with Rev. Matt Reynolds and Rev. Tony Richmond officiating. Burial will follow in North Grove Cemetery, Celina. Friends may call from 2-7p.m. on Tuesday Nov. 1, 2011 at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina and 1 hour before services at the Church on Wednesday.
