Louis J. "Louie" Quinter, age 93, of Celina, died on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at the Gardens of Celina. He was born March 6, 1920 in Burkettsville, Ohio to the late Adam & Matilda (Hemmert) Quinter. He married Alice (Gerdeman) on December 30, 1950, and she survives in Celina. He is also survived by three children, Jane (Del) Kramer, Ann (Terry) Muter and Mark (Kay) Quinter all of Celina. Four grandchildren, Aaron & Sean Kramer, Darren (Krista)l Quinter Abby Quinter, four great-grandchildren Carrie & Cole Kramer and Addison & Braelyn Quinter, in laws and spouses Marie (Bill) Swick of Delphos, Bernard (Marie) Gerdeman of Ottoville, Marty Gerdeman of Ottoville, Dorothy (Eldon) Lamy of Cincinnati, Jane Fairfax of Dayton, Joan (Bob) Ricker of Delphos and Mary Ellen Gerdeman of Delphos. He is preceded in death by a daughter Kathy Quinter, his siblings and spouses Herman (Frederica) Quinter, Irenus "Mike" (Delphina) Quinter, Hilda Quinter, Marie Jutte, Marcella (Henry) Stelzer, Malinda (Clarence) Schlarman and Voneta "Susie" Quinter and in laws and spouses Roseann (Harold) Frederich, Lenore Gerdeman, Eugene Gerdeman and William Fairfax. He worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber in St. Marys from 1945 to 1985, also for Quinter Well Drilling in Burkettsville and part time for the Daily Standard in Celina. Louie was a veteran of the US Navy serving during WWII. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Celina Knights of Columbus, Celina American Legion and V.F.W. Posts and the Celina Moose Lodge. He loved gardening, Hunting, fishing bowling and card playing. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Church. Burial with military rites will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Celina. Friends may call on Friday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Lehman Hogenkamp Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina.
