Louis Andrew Bauer, age 78, of 1101 Larkspur Lane in Celina, Ohio, passed away at 3:35 a.m. on Monday March 18, 2013 at the Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater. He was born on Oct. 30, 1934 in Dover, Ohio to the late Louis & Mary (Roesch) Bauer. On May 30, 1959 he married Joanne Bigler, who lives in Celina. He is also survived by his four children Brian Louis & Michelle Bauer of Dover, Kelly & Dr. Philip Masser of Celina, Jennifer & Gregory Heft of Bellbrook, Cathy Villacis of Cranberry Twp. Pennsylvania, 8 Grandchildren, and a Brother & sister-in-law Rudy & Ruth Bauer of Denver, N.C.. Louis graduated from St. Joseph High School in Dover, Ohio, with the Class of 1952. He attended John Carroll University & The Ohio State University. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Japan. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina. He was a member of the Sertoma Club and the Knights of Columbus Council #1800. Louis retired in 1994 from General Telephone and he was the Area Manager in Ashland and Celina. He loved to golf and bowl. He was an avid Celina Bulldog and Buckeye Fan. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30a.m. on Friday March 22, 2013 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, with Fr. Kenneth Schnipke officiating. Interment will be held at 1:00p.m.on Saturday March 23, 2013 at the Calvary Cemetery in Dover, Ohio, with Fr. Matthew Hoover officiating. Friends may gather at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina an hour before services.
