Loraine M. Smith age 96 of 101 Rohrer Dr. Tipp City and a former resident of Minster, OH Died Sunday June 9, 2013 at Heartland of Greenville. She was born March 5, 1917 in Richmond, IN to Edward and Theresa (Stolle) Balling. She was married on February 6, 1937 to Adolph D. Smith he died Sept. 26, 1998. Loraine is survived by her children Patricia & William Whipp of Tipp City, Leroy & Connie Smith of Laura, Diane & Burt Sherman of Urbana and Michael & Roxanne Smith of New Bremen, 13 Grandchildren, 32 Great grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren. A son James Smith, one brother Anthony Balling and 1 sister Helen Van Ausdal are deceased. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, a homemaker, former co-owner with her husband of Hoying And Westerheide Hardware of Minster and had been employed General Motors Inland Divsion , Dayton. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Egypt, OH (due to church work at St. Augustine) Rev. Rick Nieberding Celebrant.
