Linus A. "Linie" Hausfeld age 86 of 193 S. Lincoln St., Minster, OH died Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Elmwood Assisted Living Center, New Bremen. He was born April 24, 1926 to the late Aloys & Philomena (Hoying) Hausfeld. On December 27, 1951 he married Rose Marie Kremer in Osgood, OH. She survives at Elmwood, New Bremen. He is also survived by sons Douglas & Elaine Hausfeld, Minster, Bradley & Christine Hausfeld, Springboro, Thomas H. who is deceased and wife Lori Hausfeld, Springboro, grandchildren, John Hausfeld, Kim & Zach Wiford, David Hausfeld, Jaclynn & Joe Krella, Jared & Emily Hausfeld, Ali Hausfeld & Matt Wolfe and deceased granddaughter Kacie Hausfeld, great grandchildren Luke & Abby Krella, Megan Wiford & Ryan Hausfeld, brother Neal & Maxine Hausfeld, Vandalia, brother-in-law and sisters-in-law Alice Suttman, Dayton, Howard & Laverta Kremer, Troy, Janice Meyer, Hudson, Pat Kremer, Dayton. He was also preceded in death by his parents, sister-in-law & brother-in-law Gladys & Jack Troupe, brother-in-law Don Kremer & brothers-in-law Robert Suttman & Ron Meyer. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church & a church usher, founder of Hausfeld Motor Sales in 1947, former Chief & member of Minster Jackson Twp. Fire Department, Past president of the Ohio Fire Chief's Association, International Fire Chief's Association, Shelby County Firefighter of the year in 1981, Minster Civic Association Citizen of the Year 1978 and a member of Minster F.O.E. #1391. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 Thursday November 8, 2012 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, with Rev. Rick Nieberding Celebrant. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday November 7 and from 9:00 to 9:30 AM on Thursday November 8.
