Lillian C. Homan, age 89 of New Bremen, Ohio, died Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at the home of her daughter in Maria Stein.  She was born August 13, 1932 in Maria Stein, Ohio to the late Aloys & Rose (Bruns) Meier.  She married Arnold R. Homan on November 21, 1953 in St. Rose Church, St. Rose, Ohio and he preceded her in death on December 5, 1990.   She is survived by children: Mary & Marvin Geier, Coldwater, David & Marge Homan, New Bremen, Karen & Ken Broering, Maria Stein, Teresa & Roger Bertke, St. Marys, Marlene & Brian Gagel, Maria Stein, Daniel & Lisa Homan, New Bremen, daughter-in-law Diane Homan, Maria Stein, son-in-law Donald & Bev Holthaus, Ft. Loramie, 36 grandchildren, 65 great grandchildren & 2 on the way, siblings: Julitta Overman, Ft. Recovery, Eileen Pleiman, Osgood, Velma Hartke, St. Henry, Marilyn Uhlenhake, Coldwater, Edna Reichert, Lakeview, Joan Hummel, St. Henry, Anita & Lester Homan, Maria Stein, Diana & Don Albers, Osgood, Larry & Mary Jane Meier, Maria Stein, Dale & Jane Meier, Versailles, Nick & Marge Meier, Maria Stein, Mary Lou Broerman, Minster, in-laws: Alvin Brown, New Bremen, Velma Berning McCartyville, Leo Jr. & Diana Homan, Maria Stein.  She was preceded in death by sons; Mark Homan & Patrick Homan, daughter Annette Holthaus, granddaughter, Sara Holthaus, her in-laws, Bernard Overman, Bernard Pleiman, Rich Hartke, Ernie Uhlenhake, Lavern Reichert, Donald Hummel, Rich Broerman, Arnold siblings, Maurice & Joann Homan, Harold & Rosemary, Homan, Donald Homan, Dorothy & Anthony Brown, Ruth Brown, Sylvester Berning, Joan Homan.  She was a member of Precious Blood Church, Chickasaw, the Maria Stein Peacemakers, Precious Blood Ladies Sodality and Notre Dame Tabernacle Society (Vestment Sewing).  She was a farmer’s wife, seamstress, reupholstered furniture, former co-owner of Chickasaw Garage & Spoltman Hardware. The family would like to thank the staff at Otterbein-St. Marys and Everheart Hospice for the care & compassion they showed to their mother.   Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM on Friday, August 27, 2021 at Precious Blood Catholic Church, Chickasaw.  Burial will follow at Precious Blood Cemetery, Chickasaw.  Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry from 2 to 8 PM on Thursday, August 26, 2021 and from 9 to 10 AM on Friday.  In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Center for Neurological Development and Spiritual Center at Maria Stein.  Condolences may be left at www.hogenkampfh.com .
