Lester Joseph Holthaus

Lester Joseph Holthaus age 98 of Fort Loramie died at 10:10 AM on Saturday, May 20 at Heritage Center, Minster.  He was born on November 12, 1918 in Fort Loramie, Ohio to the late Bernard & Caroline (Prenger) Holthaus.  He is survived by a sister: Catherine Holthaus, Fort Loramie and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by brothers: Alfred, Marcellus, Victor, Bernard and Anthony and sister, Rita Holthaus, in-laws, Mary Holthaus, Ruth Holthaus, Mary Holthaus & Roseann Holthaus. Lester was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Fort Loramie and the St. Joseph Men’s Sodality.  He retired from Copeland and was a lifelong farmer. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Fort Loramie, with Rev. Steven Shoup celebrant.  Burial will take place at St. Michael Cemetery. Friends may call at The Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 5 PM until 7 PM Tuesday, May 23 and from 9 to 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 24.
