Lester W. Gehm

Lester W. Gehm, age 97, of Coldwater, died on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at his home. He was born August 29, 1922 in Rockford to the late Andrew & Lilly (Beitler) Gehm. On March 31, 1951 he married Blanche (Cencebaugh) Gehm, who survive in Coldwater. He is also survived by children, Linda K. Gehm of Indianapolis, Tim & Linda R. (Wolfe) Gehm of Coldwater, Lisa Gehm of California and Paul & Donnita (Overholser) Gehm of Coldwater, ten grandchildren and ten great- grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Gehm in 1982, a son Bruce Gehm in 2013 and siblings Elmer Gehm, Robert Gehm, Ruth Christian & Noel Gehm. Lester served in the US Army during WWII. He was a lifelong farmer and worked 19 years at Beckman & Gast in St. Henry. He was a member of The Lord’s Abounding Grace Church in Celina, the full gospel men fellowship and the Mercer County Farm Bureau. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, May 17, 2020 at The Lord’s Abounding Grace Church in Celina, with Rev. Rick Brosher, officiating. Friends may call after 1 pm at the church on Sunday. Burial will follow in Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina. Memorials may be made to Hands Up Ministry at the church.
