Leo J. Osterholt, Sr., age 91, formerly of Philothea, Ohio and most recently of Coldwater, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 17, 2013. He was born April 17, 1922 in Ft. Recovery to the late Bernard & Johanna (Wenning) Osterholt. He was married May 8, 1943 to Natalia 'Dee Dee' (Barnhart), who passed away, January 5, 2013. Lee & Dee Dee were the parents of six children: Liz 'Betty' Osterholt, Sarasota, Florida; Michael (Mary Ellen Droesch) Osterholt, Maria Stein; Margaret 'Maggie' (Lee) Stachler, Minster; Joann Zbikowski, Dayton; Leo Osterholt Jr., Celina; and Emilie (Dave) Britton, New Bremen, twenty-one grandchildren, forty great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his brothers and sisters. Leo was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Angola, Indiana, the Coldwater Eagles and St. Henry Knights of Columbus. He was a clerk for Butler Township for 18 years and the former owner of Lee's Garage in Philothea. He enjoyed golf, fishing and his grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 am Monday, April 22, 2013 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Philothea. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Philothea, Ohio.
