Leo J. Ernst, age 55, of Coldwater, Ohio, died following an extended battle with cancer on Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater, Ohio. He was born February 07, 1957 in Lima, Ohio to the late Arthur and Ruth Christine (Fischer) Ernst. Leo is survived by three siblings Jerri & Nick Schulze of Coldwater, Marilyn & Dave Arnold of Celina and Leon & Becky Ernst of Coldwater and 2 nieces and 2 nephews. He is preceded in death by a brother Wayne Ernst. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and the Coldwater Eagles. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Holy Trinity Catholic church, Coldwater, Ohio. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater Ohio. Friends may call from 4 to 8 pm on Tuesday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater and after 10 am Wednesday at the church. Memorials may be directed to State of the Heart Hospice 230 W.
