Lawrence F. "Potsy" Meyer age 88 of 13541 St. Rt. 29 Anna, Ohio died at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Heritage Manor Nursing Center, Minster, where he was a residence for 8 years. He was born on July 5, 1926 in Ft. Loramie, Ohio to the late Joseph & Henrietta (Altermott) Meyer. He married Helen A. Toller on June 30, 1951 in Ft. Loramie, Ohio. She survives in Anna. He is also survived by son Mark & Anita Meyer, Powell, Ohio, grandchildren Erin & Andrew Samuels & Craig & Kahlia Meyer, sister-in-law Phyllis Poeppelman, Egypt, Ohio. He was the last of his family and was preceded in death by brothers, Vernon, Kenneth, John, Joseph Meyer, sisters, Cleona Wyen, Wilma Ernst, Irene Schmiesing & Viola Bornhorst. 4 infants Margaret, Alberta, Carl & Mary Louise Meyer. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, McCartyville, Ohio, The K of C McCartyville, Sidney American Legion and Minster F.O.E. #1391. He was a veteran of the US Navy for 2 ½ years during WWII. He was a barber for 25 years and retired from Georgia Pacific and Sidney Warehouse. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, October 3, 2014 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, McCartyville with Rev. John Tonkin celebrant. Burial will take place in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may call at the SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH, McCartyville from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 2, 2014 and from 9:00 to 10:00 AM on Friday, October 3, 2014.
