Lawrence A. "Dick" Luebke, age 87 of Minster died at 2:40 PM on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 after a week at Heritage Manor Nursing Center, Minster. He was born January 18, 1925 in Maria Stein, Ohio to the late Fred & Helen (Walterbusch) Luebke. He married Rosalee E. Schemmel on August 10, 1946 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on August 23, 2007. He is survived by children: Jim & Diane Boerger, Westlake, OH, Nancy & Joe Bruns, Minster, Dan Luebke, New Bremen, Sandy & Larry Hoying, Minster, Brenda & Craig Sherman, Minster, Elaine & Roy Brown, Minster, Larry & Jenny Luebke, Minster, Bruce & Ann Luebke, Celina, 27 grandchildren and 3 step grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, sisters Irene & Tom Woehrmyer, Minster, Jeanette & Lee Moeder, Maria Stein, sisters-in-law Mary Ann Luebke, Celina, JoAnn Luebke, Ft. Loramie, Della Mae Luebke, Coldwater. He was preceded in death by son David Luebke, daughter-in-law Ann Luebke, granddaughter Johanna Hoying, brothers & sisters Luetta Schemmel, Marie Wente, Alvin Luebke, Greg Luebke, Paul Luebke. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, the Minster V.F.W., American Legion & F.O.E. #1391, the Cataract Fire Company, Lake Loramie Improvement Association. He was a veteran of the US Navy during WWII and retired from Minster from Minster Machine 25 years ago. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, January 12, 2013 at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Rev. Rick Nieberding celebrant. Burial will take place with full military honors at St. Augustine Cemetery.
