Lavonne "Bonnie" Ahrns

Lavonne “Bonnie” M. Ahrns, age 92 of Minster, Ohio, died on Friday, March 31, 2023 at Elmwood Assisted Living, New Bremen, Ohio.  She was born on April 14, 1930 to the late Vernon & Margaret (Vanderhorst) Behm.  She married John Ahrns on September 10, 1949 in St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, Ohio and he preceded her in death on October 23, 2007. She is survived by children: Tim & Mary Ahrns of Beavercreek, Sue & Bob Bernhold of Minster, grandchildren: John Ahrns, Carrie & Jared Menke, Kate Behr, Abby & Michael Hodgson, Joe Monnin, 10 great-grandchildren, brother in-law: Edward Ahrns. Bonnie graduated from Minster High School & Wright State University. She taught elementary school   in the Minster school system for 20 years. Bonnie enjoyed reading, playing cards, golf, travel, & spending time with her family. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster with burial to follow in St. Augustine Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster on Wednesday, April 5 from 9 to 9:30 AM.
