Lavern E. Muhlenkamp, age 78, of 705 W. South St., Coldwater, Ohio, died on Monday, March 19, 2012 at Briarwood Village, Coldwater, Ohio. He was born November 17, 1933 in Celina, Ohio to the late Herbert & Asella (Miller) Muhlenkamp. On June 12, 1954 he married Pat (Wourms) in Coldwater, Ohio, and she died November 24, 2011. He is survived by five children, Brenda & Mike Grieshop of Ft. Recovery, Ohio, Doug & Diane Muhlenkamp, Ron & Renee Muhlenkamp and Lynne & Dean Huelsman, all of Coldwater, Ohio and Jaclyn & Loren Korzan of Elida, Ohio, 15 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Pauline Hess of Coldwater, Ohio and Dorothy & Louie Hoyng of Celina, Ohio, a brother, Gerald & Eileen Muhlenkamp of Celina, Ohio, a brother-in-law, Alvin Saintignon of Celina, Ohio, and two sisters-in-law, Kathleen Muhlenkamp of Coldwater, Ohio and Josephine Muhlenkamp of Rockford, Ohio. He is preceded in death by two brothers, Bernard Muhlenkamp and Robert Muhlenkamp, a sister, Mary Ann Saintignon and two brothers-in-law, Linie Schoen and Paul Hess. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater and the Holy Name Society. Lavern formerly worked for Matt Schwieterman, Inc., Coldwater. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 am on Friday, March 23, 2012 at Holy Trinity Church, Coldwater, Ohio with Fr. Barry Stechschulte, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater Ohio. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home-Coldwater on Thursday from 2 to 8 pm and on Friday from 9 to 10 am.
