Larry Danny Wendel, age 67 of 425 Johnson Ave., Celina, Ohio passed away at 6:15a.m. on March 17, 2014 at home with his family. He was born a triplet on Aug. 4, 1946 in Mercer County, Ohio to the late Lisle & Norma (Gehm) Wendel. On Feb. 7, 1970 he married Linda Sudhoff, at the St. Anthony Catholic Church, who survives. Also surviving are his children Marie & Tim Miller, of Hicksville, Aaron & Maggie Wendel of Wake Forest, NC, Danielle & Tim Feifs of Greensboro, NC, Dustin Wendel of Celina, a Niece Jordana Stefano of Celina, brother & sisters-in-law Vern & Kathy Wendel of Celina, Susan Wendel of Celina, sister & brother-in-law Linda & Herman Rogers of Sebring, Florida, half brother Kevin & Teresa Wendel of St. Marys, Step brother Wayne & Judy Wilson of Florida step sister John & Amy Bubp of St.Marys, nine grandchildren Olivia, Ashtyn, Hunter, Addyson, Mckenna, Brennon, Harrison, Ava, Claudia and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Lisle Wendel, Norma (Gehm) Wendel, step mother Mary Wendel, brothers Terry, Gary, Doug Wendel, his sisters & brother-in-law Maryann & John Roberts, Konstance Stefano and two nephews. Larry graduated form Lincolnview High School with the Class of 1964. He was a Resident of the Marsh Foundation from 1959-1964. Served his country in the United State Army as an Aircraft Mechanic Crewchief during the Vietnam War from 1966-1968. Larry was a member of the Celina V.F.W. Post# 5713, the Celina American Legion Post #210, and the Celina Moose Lodge. He was formerly employed at Mersman Table in Celina, Avco New Idea in Coldwater, a Telephone Contractor, Omni Manufacturing, and retired form Reynolds & Reynolds after 25 years. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday March 20, 2014 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, with Fr. Kenneth G. Alt C.PP.S. officiating, Burial will follow in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in Celina, with Military honors by the Celina American Legion Post #210 and Celina V.F.W. Post #5713. A celebration of Larry's life will be held from 12-4p.m. on Thursday at the Celina Moose Lodge.
