Larry Edward "Pappy" Tomlinson, age 70, of 7131 Cottonwood Dr. in Celina, Ohio passed away at 10:43a.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Celina Manor Nursing Home Celina, Ohio. He was born on August 12, 1940 in Stonega , Virginia to Bill and Maxie (Smith) Lawson. On April 4, 1972 he married Verdie Walker.

Larry is survived by: Mother Maxie (Smith) Lawson of Dayton, sons Jeff & Aliza Tomlinson of Sycamore, ILL, Greg & Billi Jo Tomlinson of Greenville, Ricky Tomlinson of Greenville, daughters Colleen Denlinger of Kettering, Christie & Keith Young of Celina 10 grandchildren Jeff Tomlinson, Josh Tomlinson, Jeremiah Tomlinson, Stephen Tomlinson, Justin Tomlinson, Matthew Tomlinson,Amber Tomlinson, Brandon Tomlinson, Sam Huber, Danny Huber, 5 great-grandchildren, brothers Rodney Lawson and Woody Lawson of Dayton.

He was preceded in death by: Son Tim Henry, Father Bill Lawson, and wife Verdie (Walker) Tomlinson.

Larry was a member of the Celina V.F.W. Post #5713 and the Celina American Legion Post #210 and the Celina Moose Lodge. Larry retired from General Motor in 1991 after 16 years at Inland in Vandalia.

A Memorial service will be held at3:00p.m. on Saturday April 16, 2011 at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina, with Rev. John Exman officiating. Military honors by the Celina American Legion and the Celina V.F.W., will follow the funeral services at the funeral home. Friends may call from 1-3p.m. on Saturday at the Funeral Home.
