Dr. Kenneth H. Ziegenbusch M.D., age 84, of 7295 Oregon Rd. Celina, Ohio passed away at 7:00p.m. on Tuesday Dec. 6, 2011 at the Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Mary. He was born on Dec.18, 1926 to the late Henry W. & Emma (Bergman) Ziegenbusch in Jackson Township. On June 2, 1956 he married Kitty-Hunt Jones at St. George Catholic Church in Cincinnati, she resides in Celina. Also surviving are his children Karen Z. ( Kevin ) Gardner of Lewisburg, PA, Kenneth H. ( Kelly) Ziegenbusch Jr. of Sugarcreek, Ohio, Krista H. Ziegenbusch of Springfield, 6 Grandchildren Nicholas Ziegenbusch, Max Ziegenbusch, Ray Ziegenbusch, Kyle A. Gardner, Kathryn Gardner, Kenneth John Nicholson. He was preceded in death by his brother Elwood & Ursula Ziegenbusch and two sisters Evelyn Ziegenbusch and Velma & Ben Schlater. Kenneth Graduated from Minster High School in 1944, he then served his country at the end of World War II in the U.S. Army Occupational Forces. He received his Premed Schooling from Bowling Green State University and received his medical degree from U.C. Medical School in 1955. He practiced in New Bremen from 1957 to 1964, then he became a radiologist at Geisinger Hospital in Danville, PA until 1968. He was a Radiologist for Van Wert Hospital, Ottis Hospital, Gibbons Hospital, Coldwater Hospital, and the St. Marys Hospital. He retired from West Ohio X-Ray in 1989. He has since been Emeritus for the State of Ohio. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, V.F.W. Post # 6432 in Minster, and a Life Member of the American Medical Association. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday Dec. 10, 2011 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, with Fr. Kenneth Schnipke officiating. Burial will follow in German-Protestant Cemetery in New Bremen, Ohio. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster and before 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina.
