Kenneth J."Kenny" Short, age 75, of 8120 Hoenie Rd. in Celina, Ohio passed away at 12:55p.m. on Monday, February 04, 2013 at his residence in Celina. He was born on March 18, 1937 in Smithboro , Kentucky to the late Jolly "Doc" and Clarinda (Amburgey) Short. On March 29, 1958 he married Shirley Killian, whom is surviving. Also surviving are his sons & daughters-in-law Ronald Allan & Shirley Short of Celina, Gage Ryan Short of Celina, daughters & sons-in-law Pamela Sue & Jim Neumaier of Greenville Ann Marie & Jeffery Allen Price of Celina, 4 grandchildren Megan Short, Victoria Matthews, Ridge Matthews, Kenneth Short, 1 great grandson Sylus Dean, a brother Harold Short of Tennessee, sisters & brothers-in-law Jewell Baker of Ky, Emogene Collins of Sidney, Rena Mae Amburgey, Indiana and Ina Mae & Robert Wynn of Piqua
He was preceded in death by his sisters & brothers-in-law Arnina & Wesley Reynolds, Dora Lee & Willis Backes Sam Baker, Arnold Collins, Earl Amburgey. He was a member of the Celina American Legion Post #210, the Celina Eagles and attended Mt. Tabor Church of God. Kenny was a employed as a painter at New Idea in Coldwater for 32 years and retired in 1990. He was an , avid bowler loved to fish, enjoyed gardening, and was Last years Champions in the Mercer County Church Dart Ball League. Funeral services will be held at 11:00a.m. on Saturday Feb. 9, 2013 at the Mt. Tabor Church of God, with Rev. Richard Van Horn and Rev. Jim Keiser officiating. Burial will follow in North Grove Cemetery in Celina with Military Honors. Friends may call from 5-9p.m. on Friday Feb. 8, 2013 at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funera Home in Celina and 1 hour before services at the Church on Saturday. The Celina American Legion Post #210 & V.F.W. Post # 5713 will conduct membership services at 7:00p.m. on Friday. Memorial Contributions may be made to Challenger Baseball.
