Ken L. Puthoff, age 70, of St. Henry, died on Monday, August 17, 2026, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. Ken was born on May 15, 1956, in Coldwater, to the late Raymond & Agnes (Kaup) Puthoff. He grew up on the family farm on the edge of St. Henry and graduated from St. Henry High School. On February 11, 1978, he married his wife, Deb (Post) Puthoff. Together Ken and Deb lived their lives, grew their family, and shared love and laughter for 48 years.
Ken is survived by his wife Deb Puthoff at their home in St. Henry, as well as their five children, Michelle & Jared Roessner of Coldwater, Adam & Jill Puthoff of St. Henry, Matthew Puthoff of St. Henry, Andrew & Emilee Puthoff of Scottsburg, IN, and Alicia & Marcus Guggenbiller of St. Henry, as well as 11 grandchildren and one on the way. Ken is also survived by his siblings and in-laws: Dave & Mary Puthoff of St. Marys, Karen Koesters of Ft. Wayne, IN, Kathy Hart of St. Henry, Jim & Cheryl Puthoff of St. Henry, Don & Teresa Puthoff of Columbus, Gregg & Jenifer Puthoff of Rockford, Mike Puthoff of Atlanta, GA, Ginny & Doug Seitz, of Coldwater, Ron & Joan Puthoff of St. Henry, Randy & Ann Puthoff of Delaware, Kevin & Ann Puthoff, Jeff Puthoff, Sue Puthoff, and Pat and Larry Selhorst, all of St. Henry, Dave & Nanci Post of Fairfax, VA, Carol Niekamp of Montezuma, Nancy & Ron Krugh of Mendon, Larry & Dianne Post of Maria Stein, Betty & Bill Tobe of St. Henry, Alice Mescher of St. Henry, Kim Post of Sylvania, Mike & Jo Post, Diana & Mike Ahlers, Don & Linda Post, and Ann Post, all of St. Henry, and Brenda & Kevin Nagel of Maria Stein, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents Ken is preceded in death by a brother Frank Puthoff, a sister Nancy Puthoff, his father and mother-in-law, Ralph & Rose Ann Post, as well as in-laws Carl Hart, Tim Koesters, Roger Niekamp, Monique Post, Dave Mescher, Ken & Connie Post, and Joseph Post.
Ken retired after 44 years as a manager at Mercer Landmark. He was a member of the St. Henry Catholic Church, as well as the St. Henry Athletic Boosters. Ken enjoyed his mornings at the St. Henry Nite Club with his bar buddies for coffee and the latest area news. He would never hesitate to babysit his grandchildren or to bring them to an ortho appointment. Ken’s entire family was the center and the joy of his life.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Monday, August 24, 2026, at St. Henry Catholic Church in St. Henry. Following the funeral mass burial will take place in St. Henry Cemetery. Anyone attending the funeral is then welcome to join the family for lunch at the St. Henry Legion. All are welcome to join the family for an open house celebration of Ken’s life at the St. Henry American Legion from 4-7pm on Monday, August 24. Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry is assisting the family. Those wishing to honor Ken’s memory may consider making a memorial contribution to C.A.L.L.
