Kenneth Leo Patten, age 65, of 6303 State Route 119, Maria Stein, Ohio passed away at 9:42 a.m. on Wednesday January 5, 2011 at the Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center in Van Wert, Ohio. He was born on January 31, 1945 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana to the late Dillo J. & Mildred J. (Bowers) Patten. Survivors include his daughter Tonya McKenzie, Port St. Lucie, Fla., Special Friend Delores Kelley of Maria Stein, Brother Arnold & Mary Patten of Ft. Wayne, IN and his sister-in-law Devon Patten of Ft. Wayne, IN. Kenneth was preceded in death by his brothers Lawrence & Lois Patten, Arlen & Ann Patten, Jack Patten, and his sister Lola & Joseph Carpino. Kenneth graduated from New Haven High School in 1964. Then he served his country in the U.S. Army. He was formerly employed at Edys Ice Cream in Ft. Wayne. A Graveside Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday January 14, 2011 at the Dayton National Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio, with the Veterans Administration Chaplin officiating.
