Kenneth P. Monnin age 84, of Minster, Ohio died on Monday, June 22, 2026, at Hospice of Dayton. He was born on November 14, 1941 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Wilson & Violet (Marshall) Monnin. He married Janet Boerger on July 25, 1964 in St. Michael Catholic Church, Fort Loramie and she preceded him in death on August 20, 2010. He is survived by children: Bruce & Deb Monnin, Minster, John & Mary Monnin, Granger, Indiana, Dean Monnin, Columbus, grandchildren: Alexandra & Bryce Trumble, Rebekah Monnin, John Christian Monnin, Luke Monnin, great grandchildren: Jack Trumble, Oliver Trumble, brothers & sisters: Betty & Ron Eiting, Minster, Vic & Wanda Monnin, Russia, Wilson & Peggy Monnin, Sidney, Dan Monnin, Versailles, Mike & Connie Monnin, Russia, in-laws: Dale Marchal, Englewood, Diane Monnin Russia, He was preceded in death by his dear friend Lucy Lange, St. Henry, brothers: Richard Monnin, Joseph Monnin, Tony & Judy Monnin, Leonard Monnin, sister Rose Marchal, in-law Teresa Lyle. Ken was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, the Minster Civic Association, Minster Eagles, a volunteer at the Minster Library and the Center for Neurological Development. He was a veteran of the US Army and a member of the Minster American Legion. Ken retired as a N/C Programmer from Minster Machine Company after 38 years of service, then later retired from Thieman Stamping in New Bremen as an inspector. Ken enjoyed bicycling, traveling, gardening, reading and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM Monday, June 29, 2026 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, Ohio. Burial with will directly follow in St. Augustine Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster, on Sunday, June 28, 2026 from 1 to 4 PM and on Monday, June 29 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM. In lieu of flowers and gifts donations can be made to charities that were important to Kenny.
