Karen Sue Piper, age 64, of 512 Cron St. Celina, Ohio passed away at 2:55p.m. on Saturday July 23, 2011 at the OSU Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. She was born on Feb.24, 1947 in Celina, Ohio to the late Robert and Marceta E. (Detrick) McCullough. On June 26, 1966 she married her husband of 45 years, Ronald (Butch) Piper of Celina. Also surviving are her sons Scott & Joni Piper, Steve & Lisa Piper, daughter Stephanie & Ross Zimmer all of Celina grandchildren Kayla Piper, Amber Piper, A.J. Piper, Kara Piper, Kellie Piper, Bethany Piper, Nick Piper, Branden Hiler, Megan Hiler, Michael Piper and 1 great grandson Dylan Nagel. She was preceded in death by her sister Patricia Ann Huston. She graduated from Celina High School in 1965. She was a member of the Celina First Church of God. She worked for Mersman Brother Furniture in Celina for 7 years. She retired from the City of Celina Public Schools in 2005. She was an Educational Aide at East Elementary and Celina Intermediate for 25 years. She was a member on the Missionary Board at the Celina First Church of God. Funeral services will be held at 10:30a.m. on Wednesday July 27, 2011 at the Celina First Church of God, with Rev. Bruce Strine officiating. Burial will follow in Mercer Memory Gardens.
