Judith Holtvogt

Judith A. Holtvogt, age 79 of Fort Loramie, Ohio, passed peacefully at 6:58 PM on Friday, November 29, 2024 at her home in Fort Loramie after a battle with cancer.  She was born on May 21, 1945 in Newport, Ohio to the late Frank & Irene (Sommer) Siegel.  She married John Holtvogt on January 9, 1976 in Newport, Ohio.  He preceded her in death on July 14, 2009. She is survived by children: Nathan Holtvogt, Fort Loramie, Ashley & Chet Harrod, Fort Loramie, granddaughter Kiera, sisters: Geraldine Permenter, Troy, Carol Strieb, Versailles, in-law, Norma Seigel, Fort Loramie. She was preceded in death by siblings: Clarence & Hilda Siegel, Arthur & Barbara Siegel, Mary & Richard Fisher, Viola & Melvin Bergman, Barbara & Ralph Brown, Thomas Siegel, in-laws: John Permenter and Jim Streib.  Judy was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Fort Loramie, and was a seamstress for Vera Bradley, worked with Comfort Keepers, a clerk for the Village of Fort Loramie and retired from the State Park after 34 years.  She was a caregiver for many of her family and loved gardening flowers and sewing.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM Thursday, December 5, 2024 at St. Michael Catholic Church Fort Loramie.  Burial will follow at St. Michael Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 10am until the time of mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ohio Hospice of Miami County.
