Joe was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, in St. Rose, and was a lifelong farmer.  He worked for Frank Bomholt & Sons for many years, and later worked for Mercer Landmark.  Joe was a simple man who had little need for worldly possessions, and always enjoyed a good joke.  His family always knew not to believe a word he said on April 1st!  Joe loved his family, especially his grandchildren, with the time spent together on the family farm being his most favorite.
