John E. Zumbrink, age 67, of Elijah-York Rd, North Star, Ohio, died on Monday, May 21, 2012 at his home. He was born November 30, 1944 in Celina, Ohio to the late August and Mary (McClurg) Zumbrink. John is survived by fiancée Phyllis Krieg, brother James & Diana Zumbrink, nephew Scott & Kitty Zumbrink, niece Dawn & Bryan Muhlenkamp, great-nieces Kennedy Zumbrink, Brooke & Kelsey Muhlenkamp all of North Star, Ohio. He was a member of St. Louis Church, North Star, Ohio, Knights of Columbus, Versailles, Ohio, St. Gaspar Del Bufalo 4th degree Knights of Columbus, Minster, Ohio. He was a veteran of the US Army, a member of the North Star American Legion, the Versailles Eagles and a life Member of the Darke County Farmers Union. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at St. Louis Catholic Church, North Star, Ohio with Fr. David Zink, officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Louis Cemetery, North Star Ohio. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home-St. Henry and on Thursday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at St. Louis Church, North Star.
