John Thieman

John Thieman, 83, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2013 in Aransas Pass, Texas. He was born December 15, 1929 in Minster, Ohio to Charles and Gertrude Thieman. He graduated from Ohio State University and served in the U.S. Army. He worked 30 years for Honeywell, was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, and was a member of the Rockport Country Club. He moved to Rockport because of his love for hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Donald and a sister Mary Ann. He is survived by a son David Thieman (Jill) of Fort Mill, South Carolina; two daughters Christine Nicci (Kevin Gokey) of Bridgewater, New Jersey and Laura McNulty (Patrick) of Round Hill, Virginia; five grandchildren Hugh Henry Thieman, Elliott Elizabeth Thieman, Grace McNulty, Isabel McNulty and Christina Nicci, niece Marie & Brian Schwieterman, and their sons Luke and Ben of New Bremen.

Memorial Mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 18, 2013 at the St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, Ohio. Burial will take place in St. Augustine Cemetery.
