John H. (Jack) Schenking, age 75, of 4300 Buschor Rd, Coldwater OH, died on Friday, June 24, 2011 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Dayton, Ohio. He was born July 22, 1935 in Montezuma, Ohio to Henry and Esther (Nordenbrock) Schenking. On June 25, 2005 he married Colleen (Cornell) Schenking and she survives in Coldwater, Ohio. Jack is survived by children Mark & Michella Schenking, Grinnell, IA, Daniel Schenking of St. Marys, Ohio and Karen & Sean Gagne of Kirkland, WA, two grandchildren Taylor Schenking and Logan Gagne, two sisters Ann & Tom Knapke, Celina, Ohio and Elaine & Roc Kramer of Alexandria, VA and a sister-in-law Marge Schenking of Centerville, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Kathleen (Liddy) on November 26, 2003 and a brother Fred Schenking. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, Ohio, Coldwater K of C, Coldwater Kiwanis, Coldwater American Legion, he was a veteran of the US Army and graduated from the University of Dayton. He served as past president of the Coldwater Community Picnic and the Ohio Petroleum Marketers Association (OPMA). Jack formerly owned and operated CW Service in Coldwater, he founded the Kathleen Schenking Memorial Scholorship fund, belonged the the Wright State Lake Campus Brage Golding Society and help found the Argicultural & Industrial Heritage Center in Coldwater. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, OH with Fr. Ron Wilker, officiating. Private burial will be later in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater Ohio.
