John W. Miles

John W. Miles, age 65, of St. Henry, died on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at his home just outside of St. Henry.  He was born March 10, 1957, in Cades, S.C. to the late Joseph & Willmyta (McKenzie) Miles.  On May 12, 1978, he married Melissa Ann (Rose) Miles, and she preceded him in death.  John is survived by his second parents Don and Lynn Johnson.

John is survived by children, Shannan Bramlette, John & Angela York, Jason & Adrian York, Travis York, Chanta Miles, Shane & Jamie Miles, and Courtney & Will Miles.   Also surviving John are his grandchildren, Brandie & Donnie Benenhaley, Cole & Brittney Younger, Arielle York, Taylor York, Mikayla York, Evan Miles-York, Aurora Miles-York, Memphis Miles-York, Alaina York, Wesley York, Olivia York, Ryan & Jasmine Miles, Joe & Jessy Miles, Xander Miles, Miranda Miles, Aimsley Miles, and Noah Miles, great grandchildren, Preston and Kaiden Benenhaley, Jayce, Alden, Brielle, and Evelina Younger, Everette York, and soon to be Baby Miles, and siblings and in-laws: Willamae & M.D. Floyd, Samuel Miles, George & Sally Miles, Joedean & Joe Walker, and Johnny Rose.

In addition to his wife, parents, and in-laws, John is preceded in death by a brother James Miles.

John loved driving truck, fishing, and gardening, but the one thing that he loved the most was his family.  His love for family was one of his greatest qualities.  He loved his kids and would do anything for them.  He never ran low on love or attention for his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He cherished his time and phone calls with his siblings, second parents, friends, and family.  He will be deeply missed by all.
