John F. Bruns

John F. Bruns age 64 of Minster died at 9:27PM on Friday, October 21, 2016 at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys, Ohio.  He was born on November 14, 1951 in Coldwater, Ohio to the late Edward & Norma (Doenges) Bruns. He married Beverly Hollingsworth on August 12, 1986 at St. Paul Church, New Bremen.  She survives in Minster.  He is also survived by children: Chris & Dana Boerger, Tipp City, Danielle & Mark Yonchak, Dallas, TX, Tracy & Craig Albers, Toledo, Ohio, Sean Greig & fiancé Sherri Mason Smilow, New Jersey, 8 grandchildren, brothers & sisters: Joe & Nancy Bruns,  Jane & Randy Houseworth, Joann Bruns, step siblings: Jim & Nanette Hamberg, Herb & Betty Hamberg, Bill & Barb Hamberg, Bob & Cheryl Hamberg, Mary Helen & Gary Tarcy, John & Cindy Hamberg.  He was preceded in death by brother Jeffrey Bruns and step-mother Leona Hamberg. He was a veteran of the U S Army during the Vietnam War and a member of the American Legion, New Bremen.  He was employed at the Shelby County Sewer District.  Funeral service will be held 10 AM Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster.   Burial with full military honors will take place at St. Augustine Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 5 to 7 PM on Tuesday, October 25, and from 9 to 9:30 AM on Wednesday October 26.   Condolences may be left at www.hogenkampfh.com .
