JoAnn R. Stueve, age 82 of Minster died on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at Joint Township
District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys. She was born on July 10, 1942 in Willowdell,
Ohio to the late Albert and Bernadine (Fortkamp) Mueller. On September 5, 1964, she
married Bernard C. Stueve at St. Rose Catholic Church in St. Rose, Ohio. She is survived
by her four children: Mike & Sara (Richard) of Russia, OH; Gregory & Jennifer
(Freisthler) of Minster, OH; Randy & Brie (Todd) of Durango, CO; and Kelly & Adam
Fullenkamp of Bowling Green, OH.
JoAnn enjoyed being entertained by her grandchildren: Curtis, Carter & Ansley, Christian
& Katelyn, Chase, Charles, Blaise, Basil, Bennett, and Celine Stueve, as well as Paige
and Riley Fullenkamp, and great grandson Michael Bernard Stueve.
She was preceded in death by her siblings John Mueller, Irene Goettemoeller, Ed Mueller,
in law Thomas Goettemoeller. Surviving are siblings Dick & Ann (Kessen) and in-laws
Thelma (Braun) Mueller and Mary (Dicke) Mueller.
JoAnn graduated from Marion Local High School in 1960. She worked outside the home
at Celina Group, New Idea, Tasty Treat, and Schmiesing Refrigeration. JoAnn belonged
to and served as president of Saint Monica and Catholic Ladies of Columbia (CLC). She
served as secretary of the Auglaize County National Farmers Organization (NFO) and
was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church. When she wasn’t working outside the
home, she raised her family and worked on the family farm. She was a member of
Minster Fraternal Order of Eagles (F.O.E.) 1931, Women’s Auxiliary Trustee.
Anyone who knew JoAnn knew her love language was food. She always ensured her
family had three hot meals a day and dessert. She always made sure to give back more
than she would ever take and much more than she ever expected. She enjoyed bringing
others soups, meals or desserts if they fell ill. She was a beloved mother who was a
constant source of comfort, love, and support to her children and grandchildren. She
offered advice when needed and listened without a judging ear.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9:30 AM on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at St.
Augustine Catholic Church, Minster with burial to follow at St. Augustine Cemetery,
Minster. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 4 to 7 PM on
Friday, October 25, 2024 and from 8:30 to 9:00AM on Saturday. In lieu of flowers the
family requests donations be made to the Grand Lake Hospice. Condolences may be left
