Joann A. Homan, age 76, of New Bremen, died on Thursday, November 28, 2013 at St. Marys Living Center, St. Marys. She was born November 28, 1937, in Botkins to the late Harry & Emma (Brown) Wesbecher. She married Maurice J. Homan on June 9, 1956, and he died September 2, 2007. She is survived by twelve children, Norbert & Joan Homan of New Bremen, James & Debra Homan of New Bremen, Rita & Joseph Prenger of Celina, Robert & Lisa Homan of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Cheryl Reynolds of Jacksonville, Florida, Martha & Dale Borchers of St. Marys, Neal & Kathleen Homan of Minster, Charles & Tammy Homan of New Bremen, Evelyn & Christopher King of St. Henry, Edwin & Angelica Homan of New Bremen, Kathryn & Steven Bohman of Maria Stein, and Karrie & Robert Will of Maria Stein, 38 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and in-laws, Mary Wesbecher of Lima, Dorothy Brown of St. Marys, Velma & Sylvester Berning of Sidney, Joan Homan of New Bremen, Donald Homan of St. Marys, Leo & Diana Homan of Maria Stein, Lillian Homan of New Bremen and Alvin Brown of New Bremen. She is also preceded in death by four grandchildren, a son-in-law, Billy Reynolds, a brother, Wilbert Wesbecher, an infant sister, Mary Ellen Wesbecher, and in-laws, Harold & Rosemary Homan, Arnold Homan, Ruth Brown, and Anthony Brown. She was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church, Chickasaw and its Ladies Sodality, the Minster Eagles Auxiliary and was a past president and member of both the Knights of St. John and the New Bremen Senior Citizens. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, December 2, 2013 at Precious Blood Catholic Church, Chickasaw. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
