Joan R. Brandewie, age 74, of 76 E. Star Rd, North Star OH, died 02:55 PM on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater, Ohio. She was born December 28, 1936 in Chickasaw OH to Elmer and Hilda (Bohman) Kremer. On May 21, 1960 she married Jerry Brandewie in Chickasaw, Ohio and he survives in North Star, Ohio. Joan is survived by four daughters, Jayne & Tony Frilling of Columbus, Ohio, Joyce Huber of North Star, Ohio, June Brandewie of St. Marys, Ohio and Jill Brandewie of Columbus, Ohio, five grandchildren, Lauren and Lindsey Frilling, Dustin, Taylor and Brittany Huber. Seven siblings, Melvin & Ann Kremer of St. Henry, Ohio, Bernice & Bob Goettemoeller of Columbus, Ohio, Roger & Barb Kremer of Carthagena, Ohio, Margie & Stan Lefeld of Coldwater, Ohio, Denis & Sue Kremer of Troy, Ohio, Gary & Helen Kremer of Chickasaw, Ohio and Roy & Jane Kremer of Coldwater, Ohio. And a sister-in-law Clara Jean & Fred Hein of Chickasaw, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother Edgar Kremer. She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, North Star, Ohio, St. Ann's Rosary altar Sodality, the church choir, Maria Stein Knights of St. John Aux. and the North Star American Legion Aux. Joan was an avid card player, she loved softball and bowling. She was a homemaker and was a wedding & banquet cook for 45 years. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM on Monday, February 28, 2011 at St. Louis Catholic Church, North Star, OH with Fr. David Zink, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Louis Cemetery, North Star Ohio.
